Swepsonville Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. is now accepting applications for (1)One position:

FIREFIGHTER / DRIVER-OPERATOR / EMT

24-Hour Work Shift
Applications will be accepted until 1700 hours, Friday, August 3, 2018

Applicants should desire to become part of an organization that is committed to growing and strengthening their service to the community. Motivation and ambition to excel and advance in the organization are essential. A working knowledge of computers and office organization is a plus. Applicants must be flexible in work scheduling and working on a
24 hour shift.  Must be 21 years of age by closing date for applications.

Only serious “fire service career” individuals should apply.


Application packets containing job description, hiring timetable and other pertinent information may be obtained by contacting the Fire Chief (336-578-1500).


Completed applications, with attached documentation, must be returned to the Chief at Fire Station #1, or mailed to Swepsonville Fire Department, 2744 Darrell Newton Drive, Graham, NC 27253. Completed applications can not be faxed or emailed.


Starting annual salary: $34,000    Total Annual Compensation Package: $46,000
(Total Compensation includes: 401K contribution, Insurance, Leave Compensation)

Welcome to Swepsonville Fire Department

 

 

The Swepsonville Fire Department is a combination department with 53 volunteer members. The paid staff consist of 3 twenty four hour shift employees, 1 forty hour a week fire equipment operator a full time paid Chief and twenty part-time employees.

The primary mission of the Swepsonville Fire Department is to protect life, property, and the community environment from the destructive effects of fire, natural and manmade disasters, by providing public education, prevention and emergency response services.

Duties and services of the Fire Department include: Fire Suppression, Medical Emergency Response, Disaster/Storm Management,Public education through in-house and out-reach programs, Fire cause and determination and contact department for citizens’ inquiries on safety.
